Nursery Stage 1!

Hi All,

Yesterday Rosie and I began working on the nursery. Now the is my project, Rosie was just helping, but everything else, the design and what goes in it (other then the baby) is all me!

We started pulling all the stuff out of what was Rosie's office/study for her nursing program. Boxed it up or pushed into the living room.

Here are the before pics

We got everything out and dusted and luckily we had Rosie's Mom, Step-Dad, and brother Louis show up to help.

One thing you should know and that i will always remember about painting the nursery, is that yesterday 5/17/2009 was one year since Grandpa Harry passed away. I think he was with us as we were painting the nursery, because everytime i needed some tool, a sander, paint supplies, you name it, Grandpa had it in his garage. It was fun to remember him in this way, and i know he would have had a lot of joy seeing everyone working together.

We finished our task of painting the nursery and here is the (almost) final product. I still have to put one more coat on the ceiling at this point, and paint a few closet doors, but its pretty much done.

The picture above i thought was appropriate with Grandpa's ladder in the room. Thanks Grandpa for everything, your memory lives on as we raise another generation in OB.

In loving memory of Harold Hosking 11/19/1924 to 5/17/2008

Paul
